The symptom
No hot water? Not enough? Leaking, or making noise? One sentence is plenty.
The data plate
A photo of the sticker on the unit: brand, model, serial, capacity. It tells us which parts to bring.
Where it lives
Garage, closet, crawl space, attic? Gas or electric? That sets up the visit right.
If it's leaking right now
Two moves before anything else
Close the cold-water valve above the tank, and turn the gas dial to OFF (electric: flip the breaker). That stops the water and makes the unit safe to wait for its appointment. Then call us.
